What Would Walt Think of Your Park Attire with a To Midnight

Aaron & Aaron Season 2 Episode 4

Send us a text

What does your Disney parks outfit say about you? From awesome to absolutely banned, we're diving into the fascinating world of theme park fashion and the unspoken dress code that exists at the Happiest Place on Earth.

Ever noticed how some people seem to nail their Disney look while others make you wonder what they were thinking? We're breaking down park attire into four distinct categories: awesome, cringy, meh, and banned—with plenty of examples from our own park experiences.

The awesome category celebrates Disney bounding done right (subtle nods to characters without full costumes), vintage-inspired pieces, and the perfect balance of themed accessories. We share our successful Mike and Sully Disney bound experience and why limited, meaningful pins trump being covered in thousands of random ones.

On the flip side, we explore why matching family "Smith Family Vacation" t-shirts, adults in tiaras, and couples in "He's my Mickey, She's my Minnie" shirts might make fellow guests cringe. And don't get us started on the banned category—bikini tops, flip-flops, mesh shirts, and those infamous inappropriate message tees have no place in a family park.

Whether you're planning your next Disney vacation or just curious about theme park culture, this episode offers hilarious insights and practical fashion advice. The perfect Disney outfit balances fun, self-expression, and comfort—because nothing ruins magic like blistered feet or sunburned shoulders. Listen now and make sure your next park outfit falls firmly in the "awesome" category!

Here's who we are and what is in store for you

Speaker 1:

Hello and welcome to Cheers to Ears, where today we're drinking a 2 Midnight from Toplinos Terrace Flavors of the Riviera and guess where that's? At the Riviera, I know. Question of the day the 2 Midnight has Uncle Nearest 1884 Small Batch Whiskey, Kahlua, Liqueur, Espresso and cream and it sold for $19.50. I was surprised that it was that much.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, when I just looked at the price, a bit high yeah, considering it's got two fairly inexpensive alcohols in it and it's a small coffee drink, and it's a small coffee drink.

Speaker 1:

Interesting. How did we make it Aaron?

Speaker 2:

I only have about half left, compared to you. I'm going crazy on mine. I guess I'm sipping my coffee. So shot of espresso which you made with your Nescafe, nespresso machine. Nespresso, fancy schmancy machine. We don't have the Uncle Nears 1884 whiskey, we just use Jack Daniels.

Speaker 1:

We didn't do the bourbon like we promised last week.

Speaker 2:

No, we didn't use the bourbon we promised you guys.

Speaker 1:

I'm sorry.

Speaker 2:

You'll get over it. But a shot of Jack Daniels, a shot of Kahlua, a shot of cream and there we go. It's good. Shot of it. Four shots of stuff.

Speaker 1:

I'm a big coffee guy yes, I drink coffee. I drink about a million cups of coffee a day, and actually had two before you got here.

Speaker 2:

It's very boozy Right, very alcohol forward.

Speaker 1:

I love bourbon, but we had whiskey with it. Yeah, not the bourbon.

Speaker 2:

I can get hints of the Kahlua in there, yeah, but it's mostly whiskey. It's mostly the whiskey. Pretty strong with the whiskey Right. Good coffee flavor flavor. Overall a good drink.

Speaker 1:

Don't know if I'd order it in the parks though well, if I, it would be like a off non-park day potentially if I was hanging out late night at a nighttime nighttime dinner with a dessert yeah, it might be good with a dessert.

Speaker 2:

yeah, because it's, even though it's there's a hint of sweetness, but but it's not overly sweet, like I couldn't drink a sweet coffee and eat a sweet dessert.

Speaker 1:

No, I wouldn't want a sweet dessert with this. No, it would be a different, it would be. I don't know what kind of dessert is that?

Speaker 2:

Or this isn't overly sweet, though, so maybe not an overly sweet dessert Like a cobbler? Oh, that would be. Let's actually look at the menu. Oh, look at the desserts at Riviera.

Speaker 1:

Let's do that real quick and I will tell you what we're talking about today while Aaron looks up the menu. We're going to discuss Disney clothing choices today. Okay, like we see, people in the parks dress different ways, right, we all have our different ways. We're going to talk about the four different ways we think people dress.

Speaker 2:

And these are our opinions.

Speaker 1:

Definitely our opinions. Yeah, but probably pretty close to correct. Like all our opinions are Pretty close, how you should also think yes.

Speaker 2:

Here's the desserts Tiramisu, creme brulee, that'd be good. A coffee dessert, yeah, with the coffee. I think that'd be good. Warm chocolate cake, maybe Fruits of the forest, which is blackcurrant mousse, blueberry, sorbet, marinated berries and hibiscus cake. I'd order the coffee with that too.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, blueberry lemon cheesecake that sounds too sweet. Lemon ricotta cheesecake that cheesecake sounds too sweet. It's very rich. Yeah, I don't think rich would go with this. No, so the tiramisu is probably rich, but it's nice and light that. So the tiramisu is probably rich, but it's nice and light that. Or fruits of the forest, I think, yeah, that would be a good one to pair.

Speaker 1:

A good pairing. Let's try to remember that.

Speaker 2:

And let's do that next time. I mean, I like this idea.

Speaker 1:

We should make like a not even a bucket list of things we're going to do list, like a bucket list of things you want to do. Things you want to do we can make. This is the things we're going to do, no matter what. Yeah, go get dessert and a coffee and a coffee after we go to park.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, late night, right night on the way back, especially like heading back, if well, that's like if we're staying at like pop century or maybe caribbean or maybe the riviera, we're at the riviera, why not? When we get our dvc right? Thank you christ.

Speaker 1:

Christy. Thank you, christy, you rock, okay. Thank you, christy. Okay, so, yeah, so the four categories we're talking about today are awesome clothes, right, yeah? Cringy clothes, yes, like eh, kind of Meh, meh, it's aight, it's aight, and then should be banned from the parks. Should be banned from the parks, right, we'll see how close we come to each other. Like we always say, we didn't talk about this first.

Speaker 2:

No, just the categories Right.

Speaker 1:

So my first one, I'll start?

Speaker 2:

Are we starting with awesome, awesome, okay.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I went exactly what you told me should be manned. Okay, okay, so awesome I think we'll all agree with. The first awesome one is how I dress in the park, how I roll Right. That's the first awesome one. That's why I just start my park. Vibe is Hawaiian type shirt. Yes, themed t-shirt Right, I try to theme it with my socks.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

Cargo shorts Right Always.

Speaker 2:

Cargo shorts, right, always shorts, see, and the non-dads out there are going to think that's cringey, right? But that's okay.

Speaker 1:

They're wrong, and shoes that are comfortable for my feet, because I have bad feet. But I have a hat with me at all times. I don't always wear it, but it goes on pretty close in the day. I've been wearing a ball cap. I even wore a ball cap last time at Disneyland because it wasn't too hot out.

Speaker 2:

I always wear a ball cap.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I have my big park hat because it makes my neck not get burned. Yes, I call it my theme park hat. It has a big bill on it. It's a Columbia sportswear.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, one of those. Uv protective breathable and I've tried to wear those and not not my jam no, it's not good in florida.

Speaker 1:

You get way too hot in florida it's.

Speaker 2:

For me, it's just always a ball cap, but I use sunscreen and I've never gotten my neck burned, yeah, so kind of go with that. So my first one yeah, that I think is awesome is disney bounding. So if you're not familiar with disney bounding, it's basically it's a way for people to dress like their favorite characters, but it's not a costume. So I was trying to get like the the definition and I looked it up and it said think of it as inspired by dressing like wearing yellow, red and blue, with a red bow to channel snow white, or sporting green pants, a red shirt and a purple and purple shell earrings for an aerial vibe. Right, it's doing stuff like that where you kind of look like that. And you and I did that right on halloween when we went, we went as mike and sully. So I I if you do it well, if you do it well, if you do it well. Yes, that's what I was going to say. You've got to do it well because it could end up being cringy. It's got to be subtle.

Speaker 1:

It's got to be subtle. It can't be like in your face. Yeah, I'm Woody.

Speaker 2:

Right, like you're wearing the weird little vest.

Speaker 1:

Right, yeah, stuff like that.

Speaker 2:

Like.

Speaker 1:

I have a blue. I went as sully so I had the blue bucket.

Speaker 2:

Hat right and I I put in little horns yeah, that was awesome and subtle, yeah. And then I I did color in some red dots on my blue shirt yeah, that was great. And then I had blue. It's actually, I think, about a pair of blue scrubs for pants, so it's subtle. And and you had your whole green Right, what are monsters?

Speaker 1:

you hat Hat, yes, Ball cap green. Long sleeve shirt yeah, Green.

Speaker 2:

Shorts green tights, yeah, and the only thing I think yours could have used is like your shirt with a big eyeball on it yeah. I think that would have looked good. Right, yeah, but sometimes you can like just completely get overboard.

Speaker 1:

You can. You can't overboard with it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's a line, it's a line right but if you do it, if you do it right, it is awesome. We had fun. And it also has to be enough where people recognize what you're trying to do exactly. So we had several people mike and sully, hey and you know they recognized what we were trying to do oh yeah, we were a character too yeah, so that was my first one. Is disney bounding?

Speaker 1:

right. So my next one is the classic. Look okay, t-shirt, disney t-shirt. Ears, pins and a lanyard. Okay, just classic. The classic, straight up, classic disney. Look right, it's simple, uh-huh uh-huh the land, the lanyard thing.

Speaker 2:

You can put it like four or five pins on yes, right, and so I I'm real close on that one too okay, my next one. Yeah, go ahead, so pins a limited number.

Speaker 2:

That have meaning exactly that's the key that's the thing is, and it's again all of this is, it's at border lines of. That looks cool and you're a cringy dork, right. So a few that have meaning. So I'm gonna go and I have, I believe, seven pins. So I have one for each of the parks I've been in you have, and then I have one for ski school yeti, because he's one of my favorite characters, and I will probably get orange bird because it's another obscure character that I really like.

Speaker 1:

I just thought last episode I was going to do Everest and I didn't because I thought you would. Oh, I had a whole plan and darn it.

Speaker 2:

Oh well, maybe we can do a part two of that at some point, but anyway, limited number of pins.

Speaker 2:

Yes, limited number of pins, that's perfect, and to me, it's like tattoos they have to have some sort of meaning, right? If you're covered in tattoos but they don't really have any meaning? You just want to get one tattoo because you think it looks cool. One tattoo after another, and you're just covered with them, but they don't really have any meaning, eh, but if you have one or two and they have meaning, right, okay, that to me, I that's. I like that.

Speaker 1:

So the same thing with pins right, a few that have meaning beyond that. You're weird, totally agree, and I went away. I personally went away with the lanyard when the when the it changed the app. Right, so I used to wear the lanyard all the time because I have my park pass in it. Okay, right but, now you don't need that anymore. No right, so I went away and I just put my pins on my backpack yeah, but only like four or five or six.

Speaker 2:

And I'll have mine attached to my crossbody bag. Yeah, yeah, same thing, perfect.

Speaker 1:

My next one is just another simple one, matching outfit. So your whole outfit matches yeah, with a lounge fly and ears. Everything's matching Right In a, not a. Like you have say it's mini, easy to mini, right, mini mouse t-shirt. Subtle mini mouse t-shirt. Right, maybe shorts or a skirt. On right White shoes. Right, mini mouse lounge fly and mini ears.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, simple. Yeah, you look the part. Yeah, it looks good, it falls into that.

Speaker 1:

I pretty much. What's awesome to me is a clean look.

Speaker 2:

Is a clean look. Next one yeah, for me, and this is, it's a look, but it's so. Dapper Days Okay, so it's an informal. They do something called Dapper Days and I remember going on a couple and I had no idea about this, and this is where you dress up to go to Disneyland. So I don't know if Disney World does Dapper Days, but Disneyland has Dapper Days and you go dressed up. Now a lot of people will wear either Keds or something like a Ked or a Converse All-Stars, chuck Taylors but you're wearing a dress shirt, maybe a vest over it, but you're wearing a dress shirt, maybe a vest over it. Slacks. Some people might be wearing a light suit. You know lighter material suit like a linen suit, something like that.

Speaker 2:

But you just go and everybody's dressed up, you know the women are wearing, you know very nice dresses. It's kind of a lot of people end up doing the rockabilly pinup girl. Look in there and to me I really like that style, I think that looks really cool, yeah. But yeah, that whole vibe, the whole 20s kind of vibe.

Speaker 2:

If you watch the opening day of Disneyland, all the men are wearing suits. Yeah, All the women are in dresses. It just looks it harkens back to that. I would love to go for a dapper day. That would be cool. It'd be fun. I think it'd be a fun to go. I really want to go sometime and to dress appropriately. Yep For dapper day.

Speaker 1:

Yeah yeah, I like that Bow ties you know, the last one I have under awesome is a subtle couple's theme, though yes, right, you can't go overboard. I really want to do this christy sometime, if I can get her more involved and like, push her a little more, right. So not an exact match, right, but matching and subtle. So say, like a small light, let's go lion king, okay for fun, right. So it's like maybe a t-shirt that says I mean something subtle. Subtle like it could say Hakuna Matata on it for the guy, right, but she could have the same shirt on right. It has to be something different. She could just be wearing the colors. Or you could wear the same colors, right, yeah, but kind of match the Hurtada Nala scene.

Speaker 1:

Right, kind of match, yeah, and just a subtle yeah, just a subtle hint, a little twist. Okay, that's a personal one, that's a family joke.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, two people are going to laugh at that a lot and I've been let in on the family joke here. That's my last one. Mine is and I think this is awesome vintage themed Disney clothing, oh yeah. So I'm not real big on like a lot of the t-shirts because I think too many people but vintage looking t-shirts, vintage looking logos, my hats, all of my Disney hats that I wear on a regular basis, are all vintage looking. They're baseball caps, vintage looking. I might qualify like the baseball jerseys into this vintage look because they're the old style kind of baseball jerseys, but that vintage look of Disney clothing yeah, they have so much of that right now with the 70th at Disneyland.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, a whole bunch of stuff that harkens back to the olden times.

Speaker 2:

We'll have to look that over, yeah.

Speaker 1:

I think I sent everyone the jacket I really wanted to get, but I didn't want to spend all the money. I'll show it to you after it's probably sold out by now because they were flying like crazy off the shelves. Everyone was looking at them and this was three days before the 70th started, right? So, yeah, all the 70th stuff right now at Disneyland. Check out the merch. It's so vintage and so cool. There's so much like that. So my last one.

Speaker 2:

Yes, and you've kind of already mentioned some of this. But the accessories If you can do some subtle accessories that look good, so a lounge fly or good looking ears, right, you know that have like unique to you, your personality ears. Yeah, I did not mention cool earrings, I'm sorry. Watches and jewelry yeah, that was a. You know jewelry that people see. Now I have a mickey mouse watch.

Speaker 2:

It was something that since I was a kid I always wanted a Mickey Mouse watch and when I got my annual pass, the first thing I bought with my discount was a Mickey Mouse watch and I almost bought like a really expensive one. I was like, eh, I'll go for the more moderate price one. I wish I'd gone for the expensive one, but I wanted a big Mickey on it, right, kind of a classic look. I get more compliments and since I've broken that one and I've had to buy a new one, uh-huh, I get more compliments on that, on my mickey watch, than anything I've ever owned yeah, I think I would also own a mickey watch if I didn't have my apple watch yeah, mickey on it with mickey that talks to me whenever I want him to and tell me what time it is, in a happy way yes, I, I think just good looking accessories, right, good quality accessories.

Speaker 1:

To dress awesome. We're saying dress clean, nice, right, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Go with some intention, right, okay Next cringe, cringy.

Speaker 1:

I only have one, two, I only have three cringey things.

Speaker 2:

I have seven cringy things. I have seven cringy things.

Speaker 1:

So let me go ahead and go for it. Do a couple.

Speaker 2:

So mine are matching family shirts or outfit. So matching family shirts or matching outfits for family. The only thing that this makes this, I would say, borderline cringy is, I understand sometimes it's just easier if everyone's wearing the same outfit to pick people out in a crowd. But I'm going on a big trip here in a couple weeks. There's six of us going. If we all wore matching shirts, that to me I would feel really cringy with doing that.

Speaker 1:

I don't like it. I also have that. I think I have that in a different category. Yeah, but I also have that. I think I have that in a different category. Yeah, but I also have that on my list somewhere. Yeah, the whole family. That matches like Vacation 2025.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

With Walt's dad Walt's family vacation. Yeah, smith family vacation 2025. Yeah, or dad, mom, grandma, sister, cousin, bill Linda.

Speaker 2:

Joey, you know all their names on there. Yeah, don't like that Kind of cringy, Not my vibe. Okay, totally agree, do one more. Do one more being covered in pins I also have that somewhere. If you're wearing a jacket and it is literally covered in pins, that to me is cringy. That's one of my cringy. So a few pins, awesome.

Speaker 1:

Covered in pins cringy. So a few pins, awesome. Covered in pens cringy. Right I put wearing 8 000 pens, yeah, cringy, that's one of my. That's one of my three or four cringy ones, so do one more. Okay, totally agree, that's cringy as hell so I have bad ears, the?

Speaker 2:

and when I say that I mean like homemade ears that just don't look good. They look homemade, they look homemade, right, and they don't really, except for the ear, the fact that it's ears. There's nothing Disney about them, right? Like big bouquets of flowers on there, yeah, you know, hippie flower child, disney, mickey ears, right? No, no.

Speaker 1:

It's kind of cringy, kind of cringy. My daughter Michaela makes her own ears. Hers aren't cringy, she rocks at it, she's very good at it. Yeah, she gets asked so many times where she bought them.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, she's good Because Leah has worn those. She's made some for Leah and hers look great.

Speaker 1:

Right them for leah and hers look great right, but I've seen a lot that are oh, I know I wish mckayla would have her own etsy shop, yeah, where she made stuff I don't know what licensing thing because of how she does things, but like she made her own jean jacket last time, I remember that it was so good with all her favorite disney characters sewed on. Yeah, oh, it was, it was, it was nice, it was too hot. She only wore it one morning.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, I take it off but that's the downside of going in July, right, yeah, I know.

Speaker 1:

So I need to take her back. I really want to know.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, sorry, christie, yeah.

Speaker 1:

So I had about the 8,000 pins, though, oh, okay, and he had about 100 goofy pins. Oh, it worked. Okay, it's the only time I've seen it work.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, mine and I got into that with the tattoo thing, Like it's just random. You buy pins just for the sake of buying pins. There's no meaning behind them, right, being covered in a bunch of pins that have no meaning, other than I like this pin. Well, I like a lot of them too, but I'm only getting ones that have meaning to me, right, that I really really like Like a tattoo.

Speaker 1:

A tattoo should mean something when you get it right, Like I have one tattoo. But this came up last Saturday at the engagement party we had. Did I tell you about this yet? No, oh, so this came up and you can ask Eric when he gets here, my son's new fiancé's father.

Speaker 2:

His soon-to-be father-in-law. Right yeah, in four years. The man with the shotgun In four years, yes.

Speaker 1:

Because maybe little-known fact you cannot go to a service academy and have a dependent. Yes, so he's not allowed to be married in the next four years. Yes, so anyway, beside that point, he said he had a tattoo. He was showing me all night long and Christy was getting very upset about it because she thought she probably thought because of the partying we were doing that night that I would probably go get it that night. It was a tattoo on your knee, okay, and in the Disney font it was D-I-S. Do you get it, disney?

Speaker 2:

Yes, it was great.

Speaker 1:

She said. She said you partied too much to want that. And the next morning, at 5 am, I was awake and I said nope, I still want it.

Speaker 2:

I think I've seen that one. It's a great tattoo.

Speaker 1:

Yes, it's classic, thank you, eric. So, yeah, so do you want my first cringy one? Sure, putting too much effort into your outfit is cringy. Yeah, people thinking they are being subtle with their Disney bounding, but it just doesn't work and they look totally uncomfortable the whole day. Yeah, they wear too many clothes, wear too much makeup or they're sweating the makeup off. Yeah, Right. That happens a lot.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, Everything it has to be subtle. It has to be subtle. To look good, it has to be subtle.

Speaker 1:

Right yeah. If you're a dude wearing like a total Haunted Mansion outfit.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

Right, it just looks weird. It just looks weird If you're dressed in like clothes you should be wearing in 20 degree weather on an 85 degree Disney day. It just you look sweaty and it's not good. Yeah, yeah, that's cringy to me Very cringy.

Speaker 2:

That's a good one. Here's our next one Wearing tiaras if you're over the age of 10. I don't want to see grown women wearing tiaras.

Speaker 1:

I could see, so I'm going to go back. I think Michaela would wear a tiara at Disneyland.

Speaker 2:

I think she would. So in my mind, and this is why, in my mind, that's tied to Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boutique, right. And so whenever I see somebody who's gone to Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Bique and comes out, you know they're fully dressed up, tiara, everything else. If, like, I remember riding back on the tram one night and there was some little girl sitting behind me and I made a big deal about getting to meet a princess, uh-huh, at the end of my evening Beaming, you know she just because, oh my gosh, I'm being mistaken for a princess. And so it's that vibe. If you're a grown woman wearing a tiara and it might be a tiara with the whole look I think it's a, it's probably tied into the look of overdoing it Right, the idea of overdoing it, because I'm thinking, I mean.

Speaker 2:

Now, if it's just a subtle tiara, I think Mikaela would pull it off.

Speaker 1:

Because she pulls off her fashion so well Right, and she doesn't really listen to our podcast, so I know I'm not complimenting her in any way. Thank you Michaela, Right? I know you should tell her that you should text her.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I do have the family threads Right.

Speaker 1:

Sometimes she listens, but not very often she says Says she's too busy, yeah, whatever, yeah, so anyway, she pulls stuff off like that, yeah Right, I have a feeling she would.

Speaker 2:

It has a. Okay If it's. If it's like with anything else, if you do it right and it's subtle, okay, but like too many Mm-hmm, it just gets cringy, Right? Yeah, it's, you're trying to be a princess and you're just not.

Speaker 1:

I can see her with like a Tiana tiara on yes Right, with like a tie-dyed shirt or something and like a jean dress or something. That sounds like Michaela yeah Something, and she'd pull it off. She's good at pulling that stuff off.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I also have one of my cringy ones is exact matching couples and groups I just saw. So that's another one you have. So I'm down to. I'm down to one on the cringy mine well.

Speaker 2:

So I have three cringy laughs, okay, and two of them could be combined, basically, and you're probably hit my other one too. I don't think so, oh, okay, these might be. So I'll go with the, the blue waterproof shoe booties, but also people who yeah, now I get it in florida. Those are a lifesaver keeping your shoes dry.

Speaker 1:

I get it, but they look so stupid yeah, I'm, I mean after my experience and mickey's not so scary yes right, I'm all for it I get it thunderstorms, but they look stupid.

Speaker 2:

Okay, they're very cringy looking, yeah. And then ponchos. When it's just sprinkling. If you're wearing a poncho or like as soon as it stops raining, you're not ripping that stupid poncho off because it just turns you into a baked potato. Anyway cringy. So not playing the weather right, it's just kind of cringy when you're overdoing it. Agreed, okay, do you have?

Speaker 1:

I have one more, one more and then you'll have one more. Yeah, so go ahead and do yours, okay so couples that are matching like with shirts, matching shirts, like they play off each other, like most magical wife, most tolerant husband, right, she's my Minnie, he's my Mickey. What about? I love you? I know, I mean, that's just a.

Speaker 2:

It's so played out, it is, it's so played out, and that actually gets into my meh area.

Speaker 1:

yeah, so yeah, the other one I had was I moved it to meh. Yeah, from cringy the other one, I have one more, but I moved it to meh. I probably have more meh yeah so this one is yeah, the when they just play off each other yeah, right because if they're, by themselves. You're like okay, why do you have to let they walk away? Who's who's your? Who's your mickey? Yeah, we're looking for that other person, right, or you say I'll be your mickey yeah I know, or you wear one yeah he's my mate and stand next to him the whole time.

Speaker 1:

That would be singles at the park.

Speaker 2:

that would be funny, just to get one of those. Yeah, like the guy version.

Speaker 1:

And go stand in between them.

Speaker 2:

And go up and do like some self-picture, taking Right Of just you standing by someone, and then they don't know.

Speaker 1:

Right, get a she's my Mini and go sit at the table with them at Plaza Inn. Yeah, when they're eating, just go sit down.

Speaker 2:

Excuse me, they're just standing there, something like either just walk up behind them and stand, you know oh, photobomb them all day, photobomb them yeah, but have someone like take your picture. Maybe, maybe, that's I should look for one of those t-shirts. The t-shirts don't really fit me all that great. If they did, I would buy one of those t-shirts and go photobomb people on my next trip so, yeah, that, yeah, that would be funny. Okay, my last cringy one Men who Disney bound as Disney princesses, yeah.

Speaker 1:

That's just cringy. It is, but I mean today's climate.

Speaker 2:

You just got to accept it and move on. But it's cringy. I don't care about the climate, it's just cringy yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so now we're on to meh, meh, meh.

Speaker 2:

Meh, meh, meh, I don't know. Okay, it's aight.

Speaker 1:

That's what I call it it's aight. It's aight. I have for it's aight. I have one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, I have four. Okay, so I'll go first. Yes, with my one. That was cringy and I moved it to it's aight. I call it the Etsy group. Okay, you just go on Etsy and you buy a shirt yeah Right, disney t-shirt. You type in an Etsy.

Speaker 2:

And so someone crafted it.

Speaker 1:

That's all they say, right, yeah, that's my, that's my first of my, that's my first time I meh. Okay, do you want to do another one?

Speaker 2:

I can yeah, go ahead well, I found another cringy.

Speaker 1:

I had another cringy one. Okay, what's that it's? It was stuck in my etsy group one thinking you're a jedi but you're not. Dudes that wear capes and carry their lightsaber all the way around disney yeah, that's weird, that's weird yeah, that's a quick mention because if you don't have to talking more about it because it's stupid, yeah, there's no reason to do. You need a cape at disney. I wonder, like you're in a group doing a group thing, like if it's your social club. Yes, I would agree with the capes.

Speaker 2:

Like if there's a group of you.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, but just walking around by yourself.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Thinking you're a Jedi, but you're not and you don't even look like it. No, these guys don't even come close. They come as close as the Luke Skywalker at Disneyland does to looking like Luke Skywalker looking like Lou Skywalker.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, there are no 5'6", 350-pound Jedis. They just aren't. And I know the robes are comfortable but, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, sorry, I had to add one more. So, I'll do one more. I'll do one more.

Speaker 2:

It's aight.

Speaker 1:

It's aight.

Speaker 2:

I just went to Target or Kohl's last night.

Speaker 1:

Bought their stuff.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, bought some. Yeah, bought some.

Speaker 1:

Found some disney merch, found some disney merch and took in the park. Yeah, that's, that's I yeah, okay, go ahead.

Speaker 2:

So mine are certain t-shirts that you see too often in the parks, and I think the hakuna matata one, yeah, is one of those it is. That's just what I came up with in my mind really fast you just see too many of those, and there's a lot of t-shirts that are the kind of this, or sweatshirts that are the same thing, the exception being, of course, if somebody's wearing a vintage style t-shirt. Yeah Right, mickey Mouse, that's good any time.

Speaker 2:

The thin line of cringe, meh or awesome right, it could go into any, but the just the ones that, like you're gonna go to animal, it's your animal kingdom day and you see 70 hakuna matata shirts.

Speaker 1:

I agree yeah, and that's where I'm struggling. So I need help with this really, because I'm trying to come up with an animal not an animal, but a Lion King fit. Outfit Okay, I want to get like a cool, like Lion King style Hawaiian shirt. Okay, right With like browns and like tans. Yeah Right, hawaiian style shirt with those colors, but I want a good t-shirt to wear with it it okay, right, easy to get lion king socks.

Speaker 1:

Yes, right, yes, the more wild the better. That's how I like to do it. Right. But the t-shirt thing I've been struggling with for a while, I don't know. I don't know which one to get. Should I get an off character like timon or pumbaa?

Speaker 2:

I think so.

Speaker 1:

I think timon pumbaa fit your personality better yeah, I don't know how to take that, I think I'll take it. I think I'll take it nicely.

Speaker 2:

It's yeah, Just they're more laid back and fun loving characters.

Speaker 1:

How cute.

Speaker 2:

As opposed to you know, serious, like I couldn't see you wearing a Scar t-shirt, right yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm not a villain guy. No, eli's a villain guy.

Speaker 2:

Eli loves villains.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, he probably loves Scar, okay guy, he loves villains. Yeah, I probably love scar, okay, okay. My next one is the dad. Look, baseball cap, sunglasses, polo shirt, running shoes and cargo shorts, cargo, well, cargo shorts or any kind of shorts or jeans. A lot of them were like jeans. Yeah, a lot of dads were like jeans from like a like a fashion store. You ever ever see that? Yes, like I don't really want to be here, I just threw my regular clothes on and came to Disney. Yeah, I didn't even think about it, it's my regular day clothes.

Speaker 2:

These are.

Speaker 1:

Tuesday clothes yeah, I just wear these all the time. I don't even like being here.

Speaker 2:

I'm on the links yeah right, I'm going to go do nine holes this morning. Yeah right, I'm going to go do nine holes this morning. Yeah, just kind of the I don't care.

Speaker 1:

I don't care to be here.

Speaker 2:

I'm here just because. I'm a good dad. This is a normal day, right? Yeah?

Speaker 1:

I'm a good dad, just hanging out.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you know what's interesting.

Speaker 1:

In their bag they have a bunch of Mickey stuff that they wear in secret. Yes, right underneath that shirt they probably have a Mickey ears tattoo.

Speaker 2:

Yes, so this is one and it was brought up. I think it was like somebody on all ears when I was watching one of the videos. Really, fashion sense kind of goes out the window when you go to Disneyland, because it's about being comfortable in the heat all day and fun. And I get that Fun and comfortable.

Speaker 1:

Right, those are the two things that matter the most there.

Speaker 2:

And so that's kind of my guiding principles. Is this fun? Is this going to keep me comfortable? I'm good to go. Mm-hmm. Now, I might not dress that way outside the parks, but in the parks, yeah. Okay, let me do a meh Meh and in my mind, spirit jerseys.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Because they're easy. They're just meh. You just buy a spirit jersey and throw it on you didn't think about it. I like that spirit jersey. I'll buy it and throw it on. You didn't think about it. I like that Spirit Jersey, I'll buy it and throw it on.

Speaker 2:

Now my cousin might be ready to kill me because both my cousins, heaven and Roxanne, because Heaven really loves them and for me, eh, there's nothing about them. Some of them are kind of cool, looking just like anything, but it's just not my thing, not my thing either. It's not bad. It's bad for some people, it's good for some people and it's not really bad.

Speaker 1:

I don't dislike them but I don't really like them. They're just me. I know I wish I liked them more, because it's something men can pull off.

Speaker 2:

Yes, I wish.

Speaker 1:

I liked them more because there's so few things that are like a fashion sense at Disney that men can actually do yeah.

Speaker 2:

Right, like the lounge flies. Yeah, they need to do lounge fly, needs to make crossbody bags. They need to do something different For the guys Right, fix it.

Speaker 1:

Lounge fly, fix it. My next one has to do with lounge fly. My next one has to do with Loungefly. Okay, okay, this is maybe an Addy look. Okay, right, loungefly tank top. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

That's your look. That'll be Asha's look, yeah.

Speaker 1:

She just bought a Loungefly.

Speaker 2:

Okay, a mini Loungefly Right, it's just Minnie Mouse themed.

Speaker 1:

For like box lunch.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and she will tank tops and her shorts. Yeah, tank tops, shorts, lounge fly and her lounge fly and her sandals, her flip flops, yeah you're just there.

Speaker 1:

Oh, flip flops are coming up oh. Yeah, okay, okay, but yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, okay, flip flops aren't part of my meh. How many do you have left? Three, okay, okay, I have a couple. I'll go ahead and do one. Okay, do one. The OG Mickey ears, you know as Patrick Warburton, these little beauties, oh, with the cap, the skull cap ones. The skull cap ones, okay, the yarmulke ears? Yes, and it's. I suppose you could pull them off if you were going for a full vintage look, but for me it would be almost impossible to. And it's not like they're bad, they're not cringy. They're not cringy. Now, they could be cringy depending on who's wearing them. Yeah, like little kids, they're not cringy. If you're over 12 and you wear them, you're borderline cringy, possibly yes.

Speaker 2:

But they're just to me If you're under six, you're like, eh yeah, but they're just to me, they're-. If you're under six, you're like, eh yeah, but they're just meh, just eh. It's just some people, that's their thing and that is the OG. And a cool aspect of them is you could get your name embroidered in them or a nickname, and I think that's kind of cool, but I'm not ever wearing those things?

Speaker 1:

No, and they were cool when I was 12. Yeah for every. That's all they have.

Speaker 2:

Really, that's all they had right, yeah, and unisex right ones right.

Speaker 1:

It's hard to find unisex ears in disney for disney years they do have the, because the many mickey ones are just black. Yeah, those cool leather ones they have. Like my head's way too big to wear mickey ears mine is too I can't do it I can't do it. I do have a pair too for mouse, for there's a there's ear day every year. I forgot day. It is the year, but I put them on an ear day, oh, every year I have.

Speaker 1:

That's all I have them for, but I but they have those cool leather ones at the parks.

Speaker 2:

I have the, the ones I got in the norway pavilion, which look like like the ears, look like a Viking shield yeah, almost imprinted. And then they have the little horns and tufts of fur. I just thought those were the coolest. Actually, my cousin haven't bought a matching pair. Nice, those are the only ones. I've never worn, them, never will, in the park because I'm wearing my ball cap. But going back to the OG ears, they're pretty unisex. Okay, go ahead.

Speaker 1:

Okay, simple Mickey shirt and jeans. That's it.

Speaker 2:

Okay, I'm going to put a Mickey shirt on and go to the park. I'm going to the park, got to put a Mickey shirt on.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Most of mine have to do with I'm just here.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm going to the park.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to the park, yeah, to put a Mickey shirt on. Yeah, most of mine have to do with. I'm just here, yeah.

Speaker 2:

I'm just here. Yeah, most of my meh are just.

Speaker 1:

I'm at the park. I'm at the park. Yeah, I bought a Mickey t-shirt off Amazon. Yeah, or I bought one in the park, or I bought one in the park. I got here, I better buy a Mickey shirt.

Speaker 2:

So I just bought a Mickey shirt yeah, fresh off the rack $29.99.

Speaker 1:

Jeans Shoes, that's it. White tennis shoes White tennis shoes, yeah. Or if you're an older dad New Balance, white, new.

Speaker 2:

Balance, new Balance with black socks. All right, velcro yeah.

Speaker 1:

If you stay at Old Key West. Yes, you're on the Velcro New Balance.

Speaker 2:

Velcro New Balance.

Speaker 1:

With some Old Navy khakis.

Speaker 2:

Okay, we need to do a Resort.

Speaker 1:

What they're Wearing episode. I know, I just thought of that too. Yeah, okay, okay, that's coming up soon, coming up soon.

Speaker 2:

A Resort what they're Wearing episode Right on that's a good one. Coming up soon A resort what they're wearing episode Right on that's a good one.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

Next, my last meh is most expensive day ever t-shirts that dads wear. So that's one of my cringies and that falls under the certain t-shirts that you see often in the park. It's yeah, I get it. But it's overplayed, and that's it. It it's overplayed and that's it. It's just overplayed. Yeah, to me it's not cringy, it's just overplayed.

Speaker 1:

So I think it was overplayed and it's gotten to the cringy section because it's so overplayed.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it could be getting there, yeah it's just too much.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so my last two are character hat. Only I have what I have on today. Put on a hat. Go to park, especially a big goofy hat, the green one with the ears Right, just put on a hat, that's my. Eh, who cares?

Speaker 2:

Well, that was me a lot of times.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, the baseball cap with my watch, right, it's what I want to wear every day anyway. Put on a hat, yeah. And then my last one is the families that match all their colors, yeah, right it's not horrible like even match their colors, even with if it's not disney themed right red shirt everybody has 10 shorts, white socks blue shoes yeah, everybody that's. Yeah, that's, it's almost cr, that's, is it almost cringy.

Speaker 2:

to you, that's almost cringy, Okay, To me it's just. It's all right. In fact, yeah, actually I had that under cringy.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I have one, two, three, four, five, six band things.

Speaker 2:

I have four band things Okay.

Speaker 1:

We'll go through these very quickly, because you start and I bikini tops. Okay, just go to typhoon lagoon, come on. Yeah, and I put a criminal to make it criminally insane. Instead of just like, banned is to wear mesh leggings with it. I added that to almost all of mine yeah, to make it criminal.

Speaker 2:

Okay, that's my first one I have a mesh on mine. It's coming up.

Speaker 1:

Okay, wearing a disney onesie yeah, really, yeah, oh really is my next line, okay actually any onesie.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, you just need a lifetime ban from the part that's stupid if you're over three if it but a disney onesie, no no, no absolutely not no, my next one is high heels I have that one as really high, really High heels.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, the crime is to wear clear heels with sequined ears on them.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, oh, that's good, I like that one. So I think a high heels, the Modern Family I've seen that clip over and over again where they go, and she's wearing the Sofia Vergara oh, yeah, is that her name? Yeah, she goes with high heels, right, and Ed O'Neill's character I rarely, if ever, have watched that show, okay, but Ed O'Neill's, like honey, don't wear those shoes. No, I want to look good. And she goes and after about, he goes and buys her a pair of shoes and gives them to her. That's funny. He goes and buys her a pair of shoes and gives them to her. That's funny. Just like here, put these on, yeah, but yeah, high heels, no, right, you know, my mind is saying so many bad things to you in if I see you in high heels. Right, because it's just not disney attire. No, yeah, what do you got? So I refer to them as the prostitutes of disneyland, okay, and it's really.

Speaker 1:

I have a few of those.

Speaker 2:

It's really a Disneyland thing, not a Disney World thing. It's not really. But Disneyland with more locals. People feel more comfortable to show up, especially women in crap. That's just not appropriate. Number one put on a bra.

Speaker 1:

That's my next one kind of Okay. It's like we're going to go faster. That's my next one, Okay. It's like we're going to go faster. These are the same.

Speaker 2:

You know, nobody wants to see the unslung heroes flopping around. It's just wrong. And the fishnets, yeah, and high heels Right and yeah, it's just like. No, this is a family park. You're going to be walking a lot, it just don't be a cringy prostitute looking whatever going on there.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, just knock it off okay, so my next one is just like that. Okay. White shirts on water rides I have had a visual right. So the visual the crime is if you're not wearing a bra. Yeah, right. So white shirts on a ride, men or women, the white shirt first of all, that's a bad idea. It's a bad idea. It's a white t-shirt on a water ride. You look stupid when you get off of it.

Speaker 2:

Well, I look stupid enough if I'm not wearing a white shirt when I got off it, but if I was wearing a white see-through t-shirt. But a white t-shirt at disneyland is just it's a dumb idea, anyway. Smudges, yeah. Dropping food on it yeah. Just a bad idea, right? Okay, how many do you have left? One, two, three? I just have one. Why don't you do another? Okay, sorry, asha flip-flops.

Speaker 1:

Why? Why would you wear flip flops at Disney? It's just a stupid idea. Lots of people wear them and they're comfortable.

Speaker 2:

It's a stupid idea.

Speaker 1:

Well, they think they're comfortable, but then they're not as comfortable as they think, especially if they go on those water rides. Their feet get all wet and they're flopping around the park, sloshing around, getting on people behind you because they're walking and the water comes flying back behind you.

Speaker 2:

Flopping around, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

The crime is if you wear flip-flops with socks. After Tiana's, that's double Tiana's, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Now, is it just flip-flops or all sandals? It could be all sandals, like if you're wearing really no, no, I think just flip-flops, or all sandals.

Speaker 1:

It could be all sandals, like if you're wearing really no, no, I think, just flip-flops. Oh yeah, it's flip-flops.

Speaker 2:

I would go with just flip-flops.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, sandals are fine If you're wearing a pair of chocolates or a pair of tevas.

Speaker 2:

Right, that's different. That's a whole different shoe style. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Do you want? And then I have two more. Yeah, go ahead and do one more. Okay, aggressive t-shirts. Oh, these are saying I can't. This. My last one I'll say is my main reason for saying it, but here's some other ideas. Most expensive day ever, thanks, wife. Yeah, okay, right, I don't do Disney, I do beer. Passive, aggressive, right Pass. I do beer. Passive, aggressive, right. Passive, aggressive shirts. I'm here for the snacks, not the brats.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, boy, that would be bad.

Speaker 1:

That's not a very good shirt and the one I don't like, the one that I think is bad. Now they might kick. I think they kick some people out for this one. She's here for the D oh With the big Disney D yeah. I don't like that shirt. No, that's wrong. I know that's the one I thought of it for was for that one. I think people are getting kicked out for it now.

Speaker 2:

They should be. Yeah, yeah, that should be banned. Banned clothing. Okay, my last one. Yeah, men wearing mesh shirts. Oh yeah, it's just keep your Euro trash looking self out of the parks.

Speaker 1:

We don't need that. There's very few, so there's men that can pull that off. There's very few, though.

Speaker 2:

If you're out clubbing and you got the, you know the body, I guess.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, the right guy could pull it off in the parks, I wouldn't think a thing of it. But the wrong, but there's like minuscule percent.

Speaker 2:

I don't think any guy can pull that off in the parks. I don't know.

Speaker 1:

I think I'm going to take a second glance at the right guy wearing it. Does it just look right? I don't know. No.

Speaker 2:

Maybe Because everything about the mesh shirts to me is just Euro Trash Club Right. I don't want to see that in my Disney parks.

Speaker 1:

Good, I'm glad we picked on men a little bit here, because we're too much on the women with the stuff, because my last one is women based again well, it could be men based.

Speaker 2:

We picked on men with the cargo. This could be.

Speaker 1:

This is men based too yeah this is either sex, does this? Yeah, it's wrong to me.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, the short, short, short, short shorts oh, showing the like one inch of butt cheek, yeah, yeah, that's wrong. See, that falls under the prostitute it does, dis it does.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, take that to.

Speaker 2:

Bachelor in Paradise. So as far as like the men versus women, I think guys are far more likely to be cringy in the parks and women are far more likely to be like wearing the clothing that should get them banned.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but men, I will just absolutely say, more likely to be cringy with their clothing, most likely Clothing choices, or just meh, yeah, yeah, like in a scowl, yes, like a meh.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, meh, meh.

Speaker 2:

I don't know if I like that or not. Yeah, yeah, eh. Eh, I don't know if I like that or not, yeah, yeah. So there we go, there's our Disney dressing Dress code.

Speaker 1:

Dress codes Be awesome, don't be cringy.

Speaker 2:

Yes, just put a little thought into it, but until next time, as you're thinking about it, cheers, cheers.
