A Two-Year Toast With Our Top Disney Drinks

For our two-year anniversary closeout, we put two heavy hitters on the table and force a winner: our homemade Ottawa Apple versus the Lemoncello Mule that shocked us with how good it tasted. We break down what’s in each drink, why one of them stays so hard to beat, and how a cocktail can feel “Epcot perfect” even when it comes from the most unexpected spot on a menu.

Two-Year Anniversary Toast

SPEAKER_00Okay, we're back, and we gotta talk about these drinks.
SPEAKER_02We do. And I didn't, I mean, if you want to find out, so we're gonna talk about a lot of drinks today. We are. And so, like these two drinks. If you want to find out all about them, there's this podcast called Cheers to Ears, and you can scroll through it and find it, and we talk about the drinks extensively.

The Ottawa Apple Origin Story
SPEAKER_02where this one was made. I know all about this one. Let's talk a little bit about it. You of course you do. I'll so I'll talk about the Ottawa apple first. Yes. Ottawa apple was one of our first drinks we ever had.
SPEAKER_00It was like four or five in episodes in.
SPEAKER_02And we didn't think it would be great because it was an apple dumpling gang episode. Yes. The only reason we had an apple drink.
SPEAKER_00Ottawa apple with uh three ounces of Crown Royal apple, three ounces of raspberry juice, and then I believe I put a half ounce of maple syrup.
SPEAKER_02And it was far and away the best drink of the year last year.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_02Hands down, nothing came close.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that there was some good drinks, but nothing came close.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, if I walk into Epcot, an Ottawa apple is gonna be in my hand during the day.
SPEAKER_00And ours is a little different.
SPEAKER_02It is a little different.
SPEAKER_00Their Ottawa apple is a little more raisin flavored. It is, I would say. I think ours is better. And I think so. Here's what I think the difference is they mix theirs, they use maple crown royal, they do, which you can't get in the US. No, and so I think that's the big difference. And then they use apple juice and probably some other types of juice, but yeah, a little bit of a difference.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we use apple crown, crown apple and maple syrup. Yeah, and then three simple ingredients. Yeah, and maybe I'll post a video of making it raspberry juice. I might do that for this two-year thing. Yeah, that might be good. Because if you haven't had this drink, it's a good one, and you like drinks at all, you like adult beverages at all, you have to have this drink. It's amazing. Got a good, it's not syrupy sweet, but it's got a good sweetness to it. And it's sold to strangest place. Yeah, I still think it's strange. It's at the popcorn cart in the Canada Pavilion. Canada Pavilion at Epcod. It's such a strange place. It's a little cart. They usually have two drinks there, and that's it.
SPEAKER_00So we made one and we split it between the two of us, and then we made another drink and split it between the two of us. And I believe so. We did this second drink, just
Lemoncello Mule Surprise Hit
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna say it now, because it was our favorite drink of the year. And I don't even know. I think I saw it on all ears that she ordered one of these, and I looked at it's a big menu, big list of ingredients like orange juice, pineapple juice, peach puree, lemon cello, vodka, and ginger beer.
SPEAKER_02Okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_00So lemon cello meal, but I believe this was my favorite of the year. This surprised of this year, and it was another surprise.
SPEAKER_02Right, just like this drink, it surprised us. We just had it. Yeah, we just came up with something to have, and we're like, holy crap, this thing's decent. I gotta have a drink too while we're talking about it.
SPEAKER_00And so we did both. Cheers. Another cheers. Yeah, we did both, and that was with our uh Disney Goes Cosa Nostra episode, yeah, and it was in Vienna Napoli at Epcot, the Italy Pavilion, which is why we chose that one. But again, really good. So we did both of these and we made one drink each and we're splitting them, but it was to see the clear-cut best drink of this year versus the clear-cut best drink of year one, and to have a competition.
SPEAKER_02Are we deciding now? We should probably should because we're not talking about auto apple anymore after this. We're not because it's not year two, we're only talking about year two drinks today. Yeah, boy, and I'm a step at each, I'm gonna tell you the real decision.
SPEAKER_00And I have to say, again, not a big fan of ginger, but for this thing works. I think it's because it has all the other juices in it, the lemon cello.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I have a winner for my I'm going Ottawa apple. Ottawa apple still. It's still my favorite. If I try both side to side, the git the ginger drink is good. The lemon cello mule's good, but we've had drinks that are kind of like it. Other mules have kind of like they don't come, they're not as good. There's there's a gap, definite gap, but man, this drink, there's nothing like it. No, it's not an old-fashioned, it's not a fruity drink, it's not alcohol forward drink. It's all of it. Auto apple
Head-To-Head Drink Champion
SPEAKER_02is still your number one. Still Ottawa Apple. Do you still agree? You agree?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. But I gotta say, the Lemoncello Mule, I definitely recommend it. I want to try it in the parks.
SPEAKER_02We need to do that.
SPEAKER_00I want to try VN Apple anyway. That's a good one. It's still very good.
SPEAKER_02It's good. And I didn't look back at all to our season one recap. Do you do we have a clear number two last year? Do you remember at all?
SPEAKER_00I can't remember.
SPEAKER_02I would like to see where it might have been the Lapu Lapu. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00We had okay. Here's what I remember from year one. It was Lapu Lapu, Viking Coffee, Espresso Martini, and the Ottawa Apple, and there was one more, and I can't remember what it was.
SPEAKER_02We both have the same top five intermixed. Yeah. And this is gonna be way different because I liked all the drinks this year pretty much.
SPEAKER_00As I was listening back, there were only a few that I didn't, there were probably three that I just did not care for.
SPEAKER_02I'll be straightforward. Our assignment was to come up with five, five, and five. Five good, five bad, five honorable mentions. I only came up with four bad. I failed. Okay. I failed the assignment.
SPEAKER_00And I came to two of my bad weren't they weren't necessarily bad drinks, but I that they were disappointing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I have two bads and then two others that are not great.
SPEAKER_00And a lot of them are eliminated because I just did not remember them. But I I remembered more drinks than I expected.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So with my honorable mention, so I put down the five bad, I just started typing, but for the best drinks and honorable mentions, I just started filling out and I came up with 10, and then it was just ranking them.
SPEAKER_02So anyway, this is our second year anniversary episode. Yes, we shouldn't just all talk about only drinks. No, we'll talk about some of the drink. It has. So thank you, Aaron. Bottom Drinks And Big Disappointments
SPEAKER_02Worst drink.
SPEAKER_00We have the same one. It was just crap. It was from GO82, the Danny DeVito episode.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00Great episode.
SPEAKER_02Great episode. Fantastic episode. He still has not replied to me. No. I sent him multiple messages telling him how much we love him.
SPEAKER_00But it was the drink sucked. It was bad. Yeah, I think it's bad all around.
SPEAKER_02It was there was no way to improve it.
SPEAKER_00No. And it was maybe if we didn't infuse as much of the leek into the maybe, but it tasted exactly like it was described.
SPEAKER_02It was supposed to taste like French onion soup. And it did.
SPEAKER_00And it did. And it was bad. Like boozy French onion soup.
SPEAKER_02It was bad.
SPEAKER_00It was horrible. So not good. Yeah. I just there's no redemption for that one at all. No. And I do know it's not on the menu anymore.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's not. We looked at it a few weeks ago.
SPEAKER_00Okay, and disclaimer, some of these drinks might not be available in parks anymore because they change menus.
SPEAKER_02Just like our first year, we had a great drink at Pim's Test Kitchen that I really loved.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_02And they took it right off the menu. It's not there.
SPEAKER_00And that was one of our first drinks.
SPEAKER_02Or Pim's Tasting Lab, excuse me. Yes. I intermix those things all the time. Okay. So let me give I'll give you another one of my bad ones. Okay. Because I have no idea. Because I liked so many drinks. Yes. Here's my second least favorite. Okay. Totally. The Jolly Holiday. Oh, really? From Be Our Guest. It was plasticky tasting. The Jolly Holiday.
SPEAKER_00You mean the handsome brute?
SPEAKER_02No, it's called the Jolly Holiday.
SPEAKER_00That was from Jollywood Knights.
SPEAKER_02You correct.

SPEAKER_02No, it's from Be Our Guest. There's another drink I have from Jollywood Knights on here somewhere.
SPEAKER_00I'm sure it was maybe. I don't know. Now we have to look this up. Please tight.
SPEAKER_02Do you remember the Jolly Holiday at all? Yes. Okay, talk about it. Was that a bad one to you? No. No, you liked it. It was, I think that was the We both said it tasted very plasticky when we talked about it. So then I started remembering. Remembering the drink. And it was Be our guest. Let me see if we can find it. This is a really strange. We're both typing our phones on an episode. So anyway, let's move on to another one while we look it up. Okay. While we keep going. Tell us one of your bad ones.
SPEAKER_00The blue Viking from Acker Schus. Yeah, that was a yeah. Bibity Bobbity Botox episode. Right. And that was just because that was nasty alcohol-y, alcohol-flavored.
SPEAKER_02I didn't mind that one. So I'm I like the alcohol flavor. But it was like blue curaca. It was. It yeah. Trying to pull up the menu still. We're talking about we're really ruining our flow here. We are we do this. Let's not let's not worry about it.
SPEAKER_00No, you know what? It was Jolly Holiday because it was from Jollywood Nights, because that was one of our Christmas episodes.
SPEAKER_02I thought I had a Jollywood Nights. No.
SPEAKER_00No, we did several.
SPEAKER_02The sugar cookie martini.
SPEAKER_00We did several from that. We did several from that. From Jollywood Nights. We actually did three drinks from Jollywood Nights.
SPEAKER_02We don't have it anymore on here because the Jolly Holiday is gone now. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00The one we did from BR Guest was The Handsome Brute.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Oh. I must have looked at it wrong on the thing. So anyway, it was the same drink.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_02Called the Jolly Holiday. And I did not enjoy it. That was the point of the whole conversation. Not what it's not there anymore.
SPEAKER_00Because you listened to it.
SPEAKER_02I did. I went through and I listened to m almost every episode from last year, the first three minutes. Oh. I did this. This took me longer than any other episode to prepare for.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02Well. But I might have got it wrong. I'm going to keep looking a little bit here while we keep talking.
SPEAKER_00So and what which one did you just Jolly Holiday?
SPEAKER_02Jolly Holiday.
SPEAKER_00See, and I was thinking that those, and maybe I've got them all mixed up now, but that didn't stand out to me. Oh, either way.
SPEAKER_02It just didn't stand out.
SPEAKER_00No. So next one I had, the Moonshine Margarita from Crockett's Tavern for a Hillbilly Club 33 episode.
SPEAKER_02I didn't hate that one.
SPEAKER_00I didn't.
SPEAKER_02I liked it okay.
SPEAKER_00It's Moonshine is not a margarita. That's true. It's a moonshine is harsh. We still got a red bottle of moonshine in there. We do. We need to use it somehow. We got to find some moonshine drinks you can recommend. They have a bunch at Crockett's Tavern.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00I imagine they will at Lakeshore Lodge when they get some lounges in there and stuff when that's finally done.
SPEAKER_02But this is going to be the best ever recorded episode we ever had. You know why on YouTube? Because I'm looking at my phone a bunch, looking up this thing. Yeah. So now it's going to come out perfect on the screen. This is how it works for us.
SPEAKER_00So Boon Moonshine Margarita. Now what's what's in the third one for you?
SPEAKER_02The uh Barrels of Blaze from Beacon.
SPEAKER_00Same. That was another one for me. Okay, good. And it was just disappointing.
SPEAKER_02Just disappointing. Yeah. So yeah, my other two were just disappointing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. There's nothing bad about them. They were disappointing because I really wanted something good from there. And I think we probably picked that because it had a lot of the ingredients we had. I think that one might have had chili bitters in it. Okay. But anyway, yeah. Just not a very good one. Very disappointing. Yeah. For me, so that was four. That's four. Caramelized leaked martini, blue viking, moonshine margarita, barrels of blaze, the Lacava Avocado.
SPEAKER_02You didn't like it. Okay. I thought it was okay. It was disappointing. I thought you might have it on the honorable mention, actually.
SPEAKER_00It was disappointing. And it was texturally, it was a little weird. Okay. I do I still want to try one in the park, but not a big fan of that one. And it went on because it was disappointing. I was really excited to try that one. Interesting. And it it disappointed me.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, this says be our guest Jolly Holiday Cocktail. It was a be our guest during Christmas time. Oh. This is from our episode of the transfer.

SPEAKER_00So Barrels of Blaze was Beacon Barrel. That was the ride or die episode. And La Cava Avocado from La Hacienda de San Angel, Bad Theme Park Ideas. Was our was the episode. I only have three. You only have three?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because I put barrel of base blaze twice. Okay. And put just on impressive. I might have put it on there twice. Some of those three ones I hated. Yeah. Then everyone else, everything else was just meh.
SPEAKER_00And I'd say cava avocado, I didn't necessarily hate. Right. I was just, it made it because it was not, it was a little more disappointing.
SPEAKER_02And I think I might have put a lacava avocado on there too. If I was stretching, I had to get five. I think I would agree with you. So you gotta go the rest of this bad because I'm done.

Honorable Mentions Worth Reordering
SPEAKER_00these still very good. Very good.
SPEAKER_02I have zero problem with any of these ones.
SPEAKER_00So I'd I had an opinion on about 15 drinks, which means 37 just kind of flowed into each other. They didn't stand out in my mind. Number one, and this was a real hard one to go to go back and forth. The ginger pear snap from Liberty Tree Tavern when we ranked ride music.
SPEAKER_02Ginger pear snap. Yep.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. It had ginger liqueur. That was my number two. It was like a ginger cookie.
SPEAKER_02Got it.
SPEAKER_00For on honorable mention.
SPEAKER_02Honorable mention. Number two honorable mention.

SPEAKER_02Ginger pear snap.
SPEAKER_00It was very good. And I'll tell you when we get to the other, the list of the top five, I'll tell you the one that it almost beat out. It was an either or for me.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Perfect. What's your next one?
SPEAKER_00The amaretto sour.
SPEAKER_02Amaretto sour. I have that somewhere on here, don't I? Yep. So I have to say it's not on here, but it was one of my ones I was thinking about putting on here.
SPEAKER_00And I have to say, from the Bartesian, it probably would have made top five. That the Bartesian has a great amaretto sour. The one that we followed their recipe from Viennapoly wasn't good.
SPEAKER_02It was it was okay. It was okay. But it was not as good as the No, we make it better here at home, handmade, the Viennapoly version that we found online.
SPEAKER_00Our homemade version is better than because that was like Sprite and Yeah, it wasn't.
SPEAKER_02I don't like it as much as our one Bartesian and then our homemade version we make here.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So you oh you make a homemade version too. Oh yeah, it's very good. Okay.
SPEAKER_02But it doesn't have Sprite.
SPEAKER_00It was Sprite and Lime or lemon juice and amaretto liqueur, which is almond liqueur, right? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I did not put the Amaretto sour on here, even though I had it as one of my things. And the good I have one good one that's going to be pretty controversial, I think. Okay. But oh so what's your next one? Let's just go through and I'll say of what I have because I don't have that one on there.
SPEAKER_00Key lime pie martini. After we sweetened it up from Narcoese's, and it was the rumored land rankings. Yeah. But the key lime pie martini, another good martini from Disney.
SPEAKER_02I think it was the first time we tried it that lessened me on it before we changed it.
SPEAKER_00We sweetened it up because it was a little too tart.
SPEAKER_02I remember how I didn't like it at first. Then we started adding stuff to it to make it.
SPEAKER_00If we'd used the sweetened lime juice as opposed to fresh lime juice, which we sweetened it up with some simple syrup and it was good. But it started out, it needed some doctoring, I will say that. But it was still it turned into something good.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, for in my mind.
SPEAKER_02So far, just the ginger one is all I have, the same as you. Okay.
SPEAKER_00What about a third one for you?
SPEAKER_02One another one of my honorable mentions was the brulee banana highball. Oh, okay. I really liked it. It's a Geo82, and it had banana and coffee in it. And chocolate bitters. Yes, crazy ingredients. And it worked. It was I like things that are complex and they work together. They meld. And this one did.
SPEAKER_00That one, it was definitely memorable. So there were a few that were, but it didn't make it beat out any of the other drinks. It didn't beat them out for you.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that was one of my favorite because we were surprised. I like the surprise. This shouldn't work.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But it does. That's why I was so hopeful for the leak martini. Yes. That it was gonna work. That if some people liked it, I was like, oh, maybe it'll work. Let's try it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_02And the banana one did for me.
SPEAKER_00So my next one, the Stroopwaffle Bourbon Coffee, Jollywood Night. Good one. Christmas ride overlays. So, yes, definite honorable mention. I because I love Stroopwaffles, but bourbon, caramel sauce, coffee. Yeah, a cream, I think it had in it. And it was a but it was an iced drink, I believe.
SPEAKER_02I think so too. Yeah. And it didn't make my list at all, but it's a good one.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's where I struggled.
SPEAKER_00Yes. So that's a good drink. That's a good drink, but it just didn't make it to me. Not quite.
SPEAKER_02Let's see another one. Yeah, so let me let me go Christmas time since all our Christmas time drinks are gonna be talked about now.
SPEAKER_00Okay, but mine are on the top top five. Oh, so I have one in the middle one. Should I wait? I have two that are in the top five.
SPEAKER_02So maybe this one. Oh no, go ahead. Okay, go ahead. The sugar cookie martini.
SPEAKER_00That made an honorable mention. Honorable mentioned.
SPEAKER_02Really? Yeah. It did. It should have probably been over one of my controversi my one controversial good pick. Oh pick. Yeah, with the Amaridal and creaminess, I loved. But I'm telling you, I like all these drinks. They could have you could interf the honorable mention of the top five.
SPEAKER_00Okay, but that one was so good we made them for everybody at the football game.
SPEAKER_02I contemplated it, but I just like some of these other ones better.
SPEAKER_00Okay. That's interesting because that was definitely top five for me. Okay. In fact, I believe that was my number two drink behind the Lemoncello Mule. I did rank my top five.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so I didn't. Even if I just took it and I put five on mentions five goods.
SPEAKER_00Okay, so how many have you gone through? Four? I think I've done three. Three. Okay, do one more.
SPEAKER_02Okay, the command center. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Space 220. I saw that and I couldn't remember anything.
SPEAKER_02It's a raspberry drink.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02The raspberries in, they floated the bottom at the end and we stirred them up and it got better and better as we drank it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So good.
SPEAKER_00There was a The Handsome Brute was another raspberry one.
SPEAKER_02This was good, and then as the episode went on. Went on and got better. So that's one. If you make the drink, let it sit for a few minutes.
SPEAKER_00Those were see, and those were ones I forgot what was in. They didn't stick out in my mind. So I'm like, if it doesn't stick out in my mind, it's not I wasn't gonna mention it. That was just it.
SPEAKER_02That's totally fair.
SPEAKER_00But thinking back, I do remember the Raspberry ones with Raspberry Liqueur were very good. So yeah, that was that's a good honorable mention. That the handsome brute, same thing. Same thing, same thing. Another good one. Okay, so you've you mentioned four. Yeah. My last one, the Sazrek from Scat Cat's Club Lounge characters we wish were Disney. That's in my top five. That's in the top five. Yeah. So that was a really good one. That was another tough one for the honorable mention. That and the ginger pear snap were both top five worthy, but I just had other things that I liked more.
SPEAKER_02That's exactly what I agree with. I love a Sazerac.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_02I spent a lot of time learning how to make it correctly before the And you made a correct one.
SPEAKER_00Thank you. It was very good.
SPEAKER_02It was so hard to learn. I practiced a couple times.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And now I can make them two seconds. Because after I'd done it a few times. Yeah, I love a Sazerac. It was one of my first favorite drinks. It was good.

SPEAKER_02This is just I know I can. I want to drink this the lemon cello first. I keep grabbing the Ottawa apple. I'm doing that too. I'm really struggling here with these two drinks.
SPEAKER_00Okay. So that was my f my honorable mentions were those.
SPEAKER_02Can I have one more I want to mention, right? Okay. The Lime Time for Magic Key Terrace. And I saw that one. We called it in the episode a boozy Gatorade. Yeah. And what's wrong with a boozy Gatorade? I mean, come on. You gotta like something something that tastes like a boozy Gatorade.
SPEAKER_00That one I just remember it felt watered down, which is why it was like an old school Gatorade. Is it just felt watered down to me? So not a bad drink. No. But yeah, that's why it wasn't it didn't make my honorable mentions or anything.
SPEAKER_02This I think this whole thing is the lemon cello mule and everything else is the epitome of our year. Pretty close. I know. There's not really I think I need to try another sugar sugar cookie martini now. I'm gonna have kind of went out of my mind a little bit.

Top Five Drinks Of The Year
SPEAKER_00drinks. Well, number one, my lemon cell. Mule was number one. My number two was the sugar cookie martini. Okay. That was my number two drink. So Jollywood Nights, Disney gifts for family members. What did you have for another one for your top five? You didn't rank them, I did.
SPEAKER_02No, I'll go with my non-controversial ones first. The Peach Manhattan.
SPEAKER_00Oh. And I for Mandinos. And I thought about that.
SPEAKER_02So good. I thought about trying to make it again when I read about it today. Yep. And listened to it. I kind of want to make one of those.
SPEAKER_00It's funny.
SPEAKER_02I like a Manhattan. I like an old fashioned. Those are probably my top two types of dresses.
SPEAKER_00Of a cocktail.
SPEAKER_02Of a cocktail.
SPEAKER_00They're very safe. Speaking of a good old fashioned, I ate, I don't know, two, three weeks ago. I went to El Gaucho's. They had one of the best old fashions I think I've ever had. A lot of orange, which I know you like. Good old fashioned. Nice. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Nice. And this is another sidebar from my dad. My father, as I was talking to me today about this episode, I was struggling with it. He I called him. Uh-huh. I was just talking about random stuff. And this came up. I was like, I'm just struggling about what I'm going to do. And he said, You guys don't talk about a lot of beer on your podcast.
SPEAKER_00No, we've avoided doing beers.
SPEAKER_02And I told him we have to, because the beer they have at Disney isn't sold in the Pacific Northwest enough to really do it. They don't have a lot of, they have some local beers for us.
SPEAKER_00What was the one that we drank when we were there?
SPEAKER_02Was it a juicy?
SPEAKER_00No, it was kind of a lager. Oh. At Disneyland? It's no, because it's only Disney World.
SPEAKER_02The Yulangs. Oh, Yinglings. Yinglings. Yinglings. Yeah. So we don't have that around.
SPEAKER_00We can't get that anywhere.
SPEAKER_02There's so many in California that are local California brew pubs. Yeah. We can't compare them enough. We can have a beer in our episode. Yeah. But it's not going to be anything you could try at Disney. So that's why we don't do it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It's not that we are beer, anti-beer. No. They don't make the same beers in the Pacific Northwest. We're so beer friendly here. Yeah. We have our own beers that we have.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02Okay. They should have more Pacific Northwest beers at Disneyland.
SPEAKER_00They would all be IPAs.
SPEAKER_02And that'll be great.
SPEAKER_00I'm not a huge IPA fan.
SPEAKER_02We don't have all IPAs. Every brewery has just popular. They're very popular here. You go to a brew pub. If you go to a Crux.
SPEAKER_00If it's 50% IPAs.

SPEAKER_00They're going to have all this stuff. So anyway, sidebar. So you've done three, right?
SPEAKER_02I've done we've done Sazerac. Yeah, I have three of mine are gone. I have two more.
SPEAKER_00Two more on my list. I had and now it's just called the bourbon peach tea, but it was the Bon Familes bourbon peach tea at Boat Rice Dining Hall, Secret Social Club. So that was bourbon, peach schnapps, and iced tea. And just the thought, I love peach iced tea.
SPEAKER_02You're not wrong. That's worthy.
SPEAKER_00That was just, I could totally see sitting somewhere in New Orleans, sitting somewhere drinking one of those. That one had to make that because it was just everything about boat rights and going to Port Orleans, Riverside, Port Orleans. What's the other one? It's called French Quarter. Yes. That's great. Anyway, but it just felt like that would be an appropriate drink there. It just everything about that worked.
SPEAKER_02That should be on my top five, too, maybe.
SPEAKER_00But yeah, and it was a very good drinkable.

SPEAKER_00Very good, drinkable. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02I'll say the controversial one now. Let's get it. Okay, okay. The Nicellin and Bubbles.
SPEAKER_00I saw that and I couldn't quite remember it.
SPEAKER_02It's Ogus Cantina.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_02It's a gin and tonic with berry.
SPEAKER_00That's what it was. Yeah. But it to me it was a gin and tonic with berry. It was. And it did that doesn't stand out in my mind.
SPEAKER_02It's simple though. I like simple.
SPEAKER_00A gin and tonic is a go-to. It's a go-to as far as like I don't know what to order here. I'm just gonna get a gin and tonic.
SPEAKER_02But it was so good as I remember it.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02That I added on earlier. It's one of the first ones I was like, scrolled through the list, it's one of the first ones I saw.
SPEAKER_00And not a bad one.
SPEAKER_02That's not bad.
SPEAKER_00No, not at all. No. So that was that good choice.
SPEAKER_02Okay, thank you. I thought you might say, Oh, I hated that. That's a horror.
SPEAKER_00No, no, not definitely didn't hate it at all. It's just to me, it was too there, wasn't anything unique about it. So my next one, the winter spiced Long Island Iced Tea from Jollywood Knights. Really? I'd never had a Long Island iced tea. That's true. And I was like, oh, this is and the winter spiced. I was like, this is actually really good. It was good.
SPEAKER_02I was I forgot about how good it was.
SPEAKER_00Because we got the the fancy cola nut soda.
SPEAKER_02Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it was really good. I really liked it. Might get me to drink a Long Island iced tea in the future.
SPEAKER_02Bartesia makes a dandy. Oh, do they? Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I'll have to try that sometime.
SPEAKER_02And we add cola to it.
SPEAKER_00Okay.

SPEAKER_02One of our better fruity drinks we've had in a long year.
SPEAKER_00Yes. Maybe the best fruity drink of the year. We maybe next year we go with categories. But it was, I think that was one after a long break of not having fruity drinks. Because we we had had fruity drinks a lot. Right. They were all tasting the same. They were. And so we took a long break from them and then went back, and it was like, okay, yeah, this was a good one to go back to. Okay, this last one might be a little might be a little more comp controversial.

SPEAKER_00Yeah, we did our food and wine bracket episode. Oh, what ways? It was the one Michaela said this would be a great breakfast cocktail. But I just remember so Elderflower and Elderflower liqueur is in the ginger pear snap as well. But I like that floral, it was light, refreshing. So the ginger pear snap and this one were very interchangeable. It could have gone either way in my

SPEAKER_00mind. But I because this was so unusual, and it was a good unusual. Sometimes it's okay, this is different. Eh, okay, I'm moving on. But that was like, okay, this is different, but I could sit back and enjoy this.

SPEAKER_02I don't know if we pick them right or Disney really has that many good drinks. That they don't miss that much.
SPEAKER_00I don't think they miss that much. I think they because they really test the food and they try to go a little unusual, knowing that they're going to sell a few, but I don't think they push the envelope much.
SPEAKER_02No, so once in a while we go with something we know or we've heard is good.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_02Buy someone like all ears.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Or a but even like that, but we come up with stuff that has nothing. No one's ever said anything. We just start looking at menus. And we try to tie it into the episode. Right. And then lately we tried to tie it in what we have in our liquor cabinet.
SPEAKER_00In the liquor cabinet. It's quite extensive. It is.
SPEAKER_02It needs to calm itself down a bit.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_02Try it to build onto my house.
SPEAKER_00So I was looking because there's a drink I want to try, and I can't remember the name of it, but it had Pim's liqueur. Pim's number one liqueur.
SPEAKER_02And what is that?
SPEAKER_00What the heck is that? Yeah, it's like 40 bucks for a bottle of it. And I said, Can you make this? And it was compare and sweet vermouth and e-bag. We can make that. And gin. And so we can make it. And so that's what I want to do is I want to make some of this liqueur, and it'll be cheaper than buying a $40 lark.
SPEAKER_02I don't know how we keep doing this. We're two years in and we're still evolving.

SPEAKER_02Do you have a favorite episode from this year? And I don't have all the list of episodes, like a favorite topic of episodes. We didn't do a lot of theme park stuff this year. Not a lot.
SPEAKER_00I think you know what my first favorite one was? It was the Mediterranean creating a Mediterranean park.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00I think I had the most fun with that one.
SPEAKER_02I think I liked the create so same idea was creating the Star Wars park.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_02That was fun too.
SPEAKER_00And that and I used part of the Mediterranean one for that one. But we did I was looking up. Yeah, okay. Now Hillbilly Club 33 was a good one.
SPEAKER_02That was so much fun. That might be the best one.

SPEAKER_00The Timu Disney was fun too that we just did. Yes. The Disney Telethon. That was that was this year? Yes. That was a lot of editing. That was fun, though.

SPEAKER_02Just thought I'd throw it out there just because we don't we don't talk about past stuff a lot. Yeah. We just keep moving forward.
SPEAKER_00I would say Hillbilly Club 33, the Hero Bars, and the Disney Telethon, those were all really good ones.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so we've evolved over the last two years of someone. We were we started this whole and Danny DeVito. That's number one. That's number one. We're talking about that. Danny DeVito's number one.
